Review: Icicles No. 88 Glass G-Spot and P-Spot Dildo with Suction Cup
The Icicles No. 88 Glass G-Spot and P-Spot Dildo with Suction Cup is the first glass dildo I’ve ever sampled, which is why I was so interested in trying it out in the first place. I’ve tried a dildo made of a similarly unyielding material—the stainless steel Njoy Pure Wand—but glass was still completely new to me. While Pipedream, the manufacturer of the Icicles glass dildo line, is absolute garbage (a topic written about in detail by Miss Ruby Reviews), they are sadly still the main gig in town for affordable glass dildos. While I don’t seek to endorse Pipedream, I will review their products (only when distributed by sex-positive retailers) due to them being the most accessible option for glass dildos.
Experiencing a Glass Dildo for the First Time:
The Icicles No. 88 Glass G-Spot and P-Spot Dildo with Suction Cup, coming in at $59.99, has an insertable length of 6.5” and is 1.4” at its widest point. While these measurements are comparable to the silicone dildos in my collection, such as the Vixen Creations Mustang, I quickly learned that measurements in glass are a whole different animal compared to similar measurements in silicone. The Icicles No. 88 was easy enough to insert—the smooth, slippery texture of the glass is more forgiving than silicone, in my opinion—and it helped that the head of this dildo is its widest point. Once I got it in, I thought the hard part was over.
But the hard part…was the whole dildo. I guess I didn’t fully estimate just how hard and unyielding glass would be when placed in the context of my pelvis, but I have never been more aware of the bones in the lower half in my body than I was when using the Icicles No. 88. The dildo felt great for the first few minutes of use, when I was still in the same position I was when I started. But when I tried to turn slightly and shift my position—OOF OW MY VAGINA BONES!!!
I had started to turn slowly, but even that slight movement was too much for the Icicles No. 88. Angry that I had dared to rotate while masturbating, the dildo quickly reminded me of its presence and demanded that I return to my original position. I slowly eased back to where I had started, but I felt kind of miffed by the dildo’s protest. I’m used to squirming all over the place when I’m masturbating—being horny doesn’t stifle my ADHD for a second. Since dildos usually comply and are able to move with my body with little trouble, the discomfort the Icicles No. 88 caused surprised me.
Texture of Icicles No. 88 Glass G-Spot and P-Spot Dildo with Suction Cup:
Even though the Icicles No. 88 hurt when I tried to move with the dildo in me, as long as I remained in one spot and controlled the dildo with my hands, it was really good. The way the temperature of the dildo adjusted and got warmer the longer it remained in use was a really enjoyable sensation, and I also love that instead of absorbing lube like silicone dildos do, the Icicles No. 88 just got progressively more wet and slippery. The combination of “hot” and “slippery”—nice, 10/10, very enjoyable.
The Icicles No. 88 is a heavily textured dildo, with distinct ridges spanning its entire inner face. These ridges felt…really fucking good. I really liked the internal stimulation the ridges provided, and I found the dildo was also really nice to pull out of me and grind my clit against. As mentioned before, the persistent slipperiness of the dildo contributed to making this a particularly good experience.
Perks of the Suction Cup:
The suction cup is one of the main selling points of the Icicles No. 88, and I strongly believe that it’s a game changer for this dildo. Glass is slippery and hard to keep ahold of and get a grip on, but the silicone suction cup provides an excellent grip. Additionally, the suction cup makes this dildo able to be mounted on surfaces and used in a strap-on harness. Personally, I don’t think this dildo is the best for use in a harness, simply because the glass is so hard that I think it’s a dildo best left up to the user to control. However, that’s just my personal preference, you may feel differently—and the suction cup means the option is there for you if you want it!
In addition to everything mentioned above, the suction cup of the Icicles No. 88 has another, perhaps unintended use. I found that it’s really easy to slap my other dildos onto the back end of the suction grip, transforming the Icicles No. 88 into a double ended dildo. Or, alternatively, the Icicles No. 88 becomes a firm, steady handle for a dildo sword.
Some of the dildos in my collection have thinner bases that are a little difficult for me to hold on to. However, by mounting these dildos onto the suction cup of the Icicles No. 88, these dildos suddenly become way easier to wield. By using the suction cup and the hard glass body of the Icicles No. 88 as a handle, the accessibility of the other dildos in my collection is drastically improved. I can anticipate this being a HUGE perk for me when my carpal tunnel bullshit inevitably flares again in the future.
Final Thoughts on the Icicles No. 88 Glass G-Spot and P-Spot Dildo with Suction Cup:
I really enjoyed the sensory experiences the Icicles No. 88 Glass G-Spot and P-Spot Dildo with Suction Cup has to offer—the texture, the heat, and the slipperiness are all fantastic. While the unyielding firmness of it provided a brief speed bump, I ultimately found the firmness of it to be a huge plus in the context of grinding and overall a positive due to the unique feel of it. The suction cup the Icicles No. 88 is equipped with makes using this dildo way more accessible and opens up a ton of versatile possibilities—even ones that aren’t advertised on the box. Overall, I would say I liked the Icicles No. 88 quite a bit and it does a great job at providing a unique sensory experience.

You mentioned pipedreams being the most affordable and assessable option for glass and I was wondering if you’d heard of the company, Gläs. Ive been looking at some of their toys and if you have an opinion on them would love to hear it.(:
I am in no way affiliated with the company, just think they may be a viable replacement. I’m not sure though.
I have not heard of them before now! I don’t have any personal experience with them, but it looks like SheVibe, Spectrum Boutique, and Betty’s Toy Box all stock products from that brand, and I generally trust those retailers to make good decisions about what products they stock.
I own some Gläs toys! I have had some of them for years, love them!
The toys from Gläs are hand made so the colour is almost always a bit different than the pictures. There are some toys marketed for anal play that are not flared enough (or to short) to be fully save. So keep that in mind.
